Collar Training
Total Control
| | This by far is the more traditional after a chain collar. From a looks point of view you tend to have the chain one if permanent and the leather one during the period that you are a dog. This tends to be fine when you have an alter-ego (your role as dog - when you are "getting into character") that you switch into. It is less adequate when you have fully integrated your doggy self into your human self. Leather collars have other advantages: - The Master has a nice chunk of heavy studded leather at hand when he needs to discipline his dog.
- The collar is wider than the chain so can do less damage to the neck if tugged or dragged.
- Feels more malleable in the hand - I happen to enjoy handling a dog more by a leather collar, almost like he has a handle.
- No chance of nickel-rash.
Disadvantages include - Cannot hide it under a 'dress' shirt at work, so is not best suited when slave is Marked/Owned and working.
- Does not 'clank' when feeding.
- Does not rattle when dog sakes his neck, so not really 'playable' with.
- Easily removed, feels too temporary.
