The Nitrite family of poppers is
slowly being banned one product at a time. More from the most
effective and the least damaging to the lest effective and the
more damaging. Poppers are not a drug.
- The Rush - some have a
gradual rush (the traditional versions) whilst other have
a sudden rush (like brain cramp) which will cause headaches.
The ideal aim is to use one that have has a mellow hit for a
controlled high. As these brands are removed you are left
with cruder mixes as AMYL was removed.
- Over the years - You
body gets used to anything. So with any enhancer it soon becomes
the norm. Without poppers sex 'is not as good without it.
You may also need larger amounts - this many affect your oxygen
uptake ability.
- The Risks - as more
variants are being band they are being replaced less effective
poppers. These seem to poison more with less of a rush.
So you have to take more of the product was less satisfaction.
At some point you will have to choose an alternative. Such as
smoking a spliff (cannabis), taking a pill or powder such
as Ketimine. Where as with poppers the effect lasted a few
minuets, a pill take a while to take effect but you are on a
roll for a few hours - so if you change your mind...
Taking a shot of Ketimine will give you a 30mins rush that you
have to keep topping up - you can go into a K-Hole if you over
dose, this you have to wait out. Smoking a spliff
means you need to understand the strength and nature of the the
drug you just bought. Whilst the older versions of dope was
mellow, the newer versions are much stronger with reality
distorting effects - if you suffer from motion sickness you are
going to be sick.
O2 uptake - The effect of this is that your dose/usage
may differ from someone else's.
This can be a problem if you are into breath control games and
what is ok for you is not ok for someone else.
Oxygen depletion and happen over time. Like ok at the beginning
of a scene but you get less and less O2 in your blood and you
pass out or get sick.
Passing out is a common cause of 'death by misadventure' is
mixed with auto-bondage. Eg you can hang yourself.
- Lowered Blood Pressure and Feeling Faint
- So you are ok when down on the floor then you get up
'suddenly' the widened blood vessels were fine, now as you get
up all your blood rushed from your head to your legs. You
feel faint and reach out to stop yourself falling. There maybe
nothing there or your slaves PA. You may fall badly so get up in
measured moves. To ensure faintness you would add a hood with
sensory depravation, so getting a slave up from a prone position
he would not know what is normal and fall easy - hitting his
face on for bedroom furniture. These are lesson you learn form
experience.
- Volatile liquid - Yes
it is highly flammable (otherwise it would not be so
absorbable). Using it from the bottle, can mean it will get onto
your skin. Your hand is safe - if your hand then touches your
dick it will get a chemical burn. This burn will be evident the
next day as scar tissue forms and is itchy as hell. If you sniff
it from the bottle, you can get burn marks around the nose. If
you are lying down there is a risk of sniffing the liquid and
not the vapour. Taking any volatile liquid into your body can be
fatal. This can range from burning or oxygen being replaced. You
still want to breath don't ya?
- Addictive? - not
physically or psychologically addictive. You might choose to
have good sex.
Makes your orgasms last longer and relaxes your sphincter
muscles - so is common for guys getting fucked.
- How Sold - Poppers are
often sold in sex shops, clubs and gay bars. Now with a child
proof top. This is odd since since its only told to adults. The
Child Proof cap also means it leaks. Best kept in the freezer to
keep it fresh. Best kept in an air tight container if there is
also food in the freezer - otherwise food with 'smell of
poppers'.
- How Applied - For BDSM
players its often used with a cloth to a gas mask. This means it
does not come into contact with your skin but you have to
monitor intake.
-
Amyl Nitrite
- (now banned from sale)
Amyl nitrite is very rarely used in medicine these days but is
controlled under the Medicines Act. Possession is not illegal
but supply can be an offence. There’ve been cases where the UK
Medicines Act was used to fine shops for selling them. Amyl
nitrite is used as an antidote to cyanide poisoning.
-
Alkyl
Nitrite
- Brands vary so it is unclear what you are taking so stick
with a label you know.
-
Butyl
Nitrite
- Still available (but not allowed to be posted) and has a
mellow effect with no noticeable headaches or sickness.
-
Isopropyl Nitrite
- The effect from this is coarse compared to
Amyl Nitrite
or
Butyl Nitrite.
Prone to extreme headaches (like a brain cramp at the front/side
of the head) and nausea.
This version is not worth your money - maybe better than
nothing.
This is where banning safer version of nitrite leaves you with
one that has no recreational benefit, only burns, headaches and
sickness. So you will have to upgrade to something else.
